This is day 2 of my Thanksgiving break, and I've finally ran out of things to do. I thought I'd organize my digital space and upload pictures from my trip to Zion National Park - from a year ago! From what I remember, I had the flu, but since I already booked my non-refundable hotel, I was not gonna let some virus ruin my vacation.
I went with my parents. Side note: I don't get to see my parents too often. So that's why I always go on vacation with them! Family quality time~
Anyway, things I remember from this trip:
- The hotel clerk gave us the wrong room key. We opened the room and there were these teenage girls staring at me like WTF PERV GET OUT OF HERE.
- At the ~continental breakfast~ (shout out to that one Key and Peel skit), they were showing Trump giving a speech on FOX News (literally my worst nightmare) - and people were cheering and clapping. Welcome to Utah!
- Zion was absolutely surreal. We were only able to do the first level routes because I had the flu and was dying. But eventually, I would love to go back and hike all of the routes.
- The bus system in the park was super convenient!
- I was looking forward to walking on "The Subway" (not an actual subway), which is this shallow river that you can walk on. BUT the water level was too high that day.
