Post food coma at the park
Monique and I went down to La Cienega's block of art galleries. They were all free! And parking was free too! Well, there's only two "museums": Angles and Blum&Poe. The rest were more intimate art galleries for rich people to buy ~sophisticated~ giant art pieces.
I was really disappointed at Blum & Poe's exhibits. There were many "a third grader can do this" type of work. One of the piece they had was literally a canvas that was painted black. There were lots of vagina scribbles and penis ejaculation scribbles. Like hundreds of them. Monique ended up loving the two exhibits that I hated. She's more into the story telling and concept behind the art work, and I'm more into the aesthetic and design elements. And that's exactly why art is subjective.
Later we tried to catch some food trucks back home, but forgot that it was Saturday. (they only have it on Fridays)
We ended up going to Soup Plantation. Afterwards we went to the park and took some pictures. It was a perfect way to end the day.
